Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced K-12 Account Executive to join our team and drive sales growth across the West Coast. We’re seeking a high-performer that wants to work in a fun, fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-focused environment. The Account Executive will be responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships with schools and districts on the West Coast, promoting the benefits of SuperEval’s platform, and closing sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the K-12 education landscape, a proven track record of success in educational sales, and a desire to positively impact education.

This position will play an important role in expanding our most strategic states across the West Coast (e.g., California, etc.).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including superintendents, principals, and district administrators.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of SuperEval’s platform, emphasizing its ability to streamline the evaluation process and support professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Go to Market team to generate leads, develop targeted outreach campaigns, and participate in industry conferences and events.
  • Identify prospect needs and pain points, providing consultative guidance on how SuperEval’s platform can address their specific challenges and objectives.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales opportunities to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to customers throughout the sales process, including onboarding and training as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings to effectively position SuperEval’s platform in the market.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Education, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in K-12 educational sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Understanding of the K-12 education market, including knowledge of key stakeholders, decision-making processes, and funding mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with leaders, prospects and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive and persistent approach to sales and business development.
  • Ability to travel within the West Coast region and occasionally nationally for conferences and events.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Description:

PLS 3rd Learning is an organization dedicated to the improvement of teaching and learning in K-12 schools through the development of technology-based systems and professional learning opportunities.

We are seeking a strong, self-motivated individual to help produce innovative solutions, develop and maintain multiple web applications and databases based on Microsoft technologies. The developer will be a contributing member of an energetic team of technology and education professionals. Our developers work closely together with internal team members and external customers to develop software to help resolve challenges in education. This position requires the candidate to design, code, test, and debug applications in major system modules.

This position requires a flexible 40-hour per week commitment, with some variation in the hours to be determined by the needs of the clients. Currently, this position is 100% remote during typical business hours.

In the near future, this position will adopt a hybrid work model that allows employees to work remotely or on-premises in our Buffalo, NY office during typical business hours. Once we adopt this work model, the position may require in person meetings once or twice a week in our Buffalo, NY office.

Professional Experience:

Mid-level: 4-7 years

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing and maintaining code base using C# ASP.Net (Web Forms and MVC)
  • Writing client side scripts in Javascript, jQuery, and Typescript for Ajax requests and user experience
  • Design, maintain, and optimize SQL Server / MySQL databases. Functions included, but not limited to, writing and optimizing stored procedures and functions, creating and maintaining tables and views, and documentation
  • Maintaining Websites, Applications, Virtual Directories, and AppPools
  • Testing of portals to ensure cross browser compatibility, functionality, responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Meeting with educators to ascertain specifications and requirements to turn into working solutions
  • Participate in project requirements gathering, analysis and design meetings and collaborative sessions to determine feasibility and provide solution recommendations for new project requests

Technical Skills Required:

Web Development Experience

  • Commensurate years of experience working with Microsoft .NET Frameworks 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, .NET Core
  • C#, ASP.NET, MVC
  • Object-Orientated Programming
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA): Web Services, WCF and WebApi
  • Must be able to perform most programming and analysis tasks independently with minimal direction
  • HTML, CSS/SASS, XML, JSON, JavaScript (jQuery), AJAX, and TypeScript
  • Basic source control concepts
  • Experience with Accessibility / ADA Compliance

SQL Server

  • Commensurate years of experience with SQL Server
  • Strong working knowledge of relational databases
  • Data modeling and Entity relationship design
  • Build & modify table structures
  • Author and maintain T-SQL, Stored Procedures
  • Reporting and Report Services

Windows Server Administration

  • IIS configuration and management (Application pools, .NET framework, etc)
  • Troubleshoot environmental issues
